About this notice

Millpond is not released yet. This website is a placeholder that exists while the app is built.

This notice covers this website only. It explains what happens to your personal data when you visit millpond.ing, under the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR. The Millpond app, when it is released, will carry its own separate privacy information.

Who we are

MyAugur Ltd (company number 17415681), registered at 131 Finsbury Pavement, London, England, EC2A 1NT, is the controller for the personal data described in this notice. To contact us about it, including to make any of the requests set out below, email privacy@millpond.ing.

Visiting this website

This website sets no cookies, loads no advertising or third-party tracking scripts, and does not build a profile of you. It counts visits with the cookieless analytics described below.

Cloudflare, which hosts this site, processes standard connection information (such as your IP address) to serve pages and protect against abuse, as any web host does. We do not use it to identify visitors.

Analytics

We count visits to this site with PostHog, hosted in the EU (PostHog's EU Cloud). When a page loads, a small script on this site sends PostHog the page address, the page that referred you (if any), and your screen width. It also sends a random identifier that is created fresh on every page load and held only in your browser's memory. It is never saved, so it cannot link one visit to another or to you.

The request goes through a subdomain of this site (reeds.millpond.ing) that PostHog runs for us in the EU, and PostHog's servers receive your IP address with it, as any web service does. We do not use it to identify visitors, and we have switched off PostHog's location lookup. The script does nothing if your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control.

The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in understanding how many people visit this site and how they find it. PostHog acts as our processor. Analytics events are kept only as long as we need them to understand how the site is used.

Cookies, and why there is no banner

Browsing this site sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser's local or session storage. The only exception is an opt-out flag that stops analytics, which is set only if you open a link that asks for it. The analytics script reads only what your browser already sends with any page request, and is used only to count visits. Because nothing is stored on your device, this site shows no cookie banner.

If you email us

If you email us, the details you choose to share (your name, contact details, and the content of your message) are used only to reply and to hold the conversation you started. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to the messages people send us. Your email is not added to any marketing list.

How long we keep information

Email you send us is kept only as long as we need it to deal with your message. Under our standard retention policy it is deleted after seven years at the latest, unless the law requires us to keep it longer.

Your rights

Under the UK and EU GDPR you can ask us to give you access to the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or transfer it. Where we rely on your consent for something, you can withdraw it at any time. You will not have to pay a fee, and we will respond within one month.

Complaints

If you have a concern about how we have used your personal data, please raise it with us first at privacy@millpond.ing. If you are still unhappy, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 5AF, on 0303 123 1113, or at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.

Changes to this notice

If this site adds forms, marketing, or any processing not described here, we will update this notice before that change goes live, and seek consent where the law requires it.
